Express Pool Care, serving Phoenix, Goodyear, Laveen & Avondale Arizona explain how to choose a pool service contractor and this is especially important if you are going to be a new pool owner or are a new swimming pool owner.
Are you a first time pool owner? Did you just buy a home with a pool? Do you have a pool and simply want to step away from having to care for the family pool this summer. How do you choose? Don’t give into the urge to go online and find the first pool contractor who comes up in a search. Ask friends and family for referrals. Take to the internet if you don’t know of anyone who owns a pool who you can ask. When you search online you will want to check out the service company’s website, its social media presence and any online reviews about their service and reliability.
How to choose a pool service contractor
Working with a pool service contractor who doesn’t perform well can lead to an algae or bacteria filled pool and to damaged pool equipment.
- Does the pool service contractor have a track record of caring for others’ pools? How long has he been in business?
- Are they experienced in caring for your pool type? Caring for a vinyl liner or a fiberglass or a gunite swimming pool all require different care and maintenance.
- What type of weekend, emergency and post-monsoon clean up services do they offer?
When you’re gathering prices for pool service, make sure you get more than one and that you compare both the price and service. If there are differences in the various estimates you receive, you will want to ask why there are differences. Don’t sign any contract until you understand what they are offering. Some pool service companies will offer a free of charge cleaning and will also come to your home to give you an estimate.
Don’t choose a contractor based solely on price. Check the contractor’s references before you make any final decisions then you can kick back and relax next summer while a pool pro takes care of the heavy lifting.
